There are a few things that are “must-haves” for emergencies when you own a car: tire jack, jumper cables, and an emergency flashlight. One can argue that the first two items may not useful for everyone, but a good flashlight is something that is usable by anyone.
A sturdy reliable flashlight is great, but what if there is one that can also do other things? What if one of those things can potentially save your life? Got your attention? Let’s take a RainyDay FirstLook at this unique EDC item for the car.
Multi-function All-In-One Car Tool
When we say EveryDayCarry (EDC) what first comes to mind is a multi-tool like the Leatherman Skeletool, SOG, CRKT, or a number of other similar gadgets. However, this multi-function flashlight from MeetIdea now have us revising our thinking.
- 5-in-1 tool : charger, power bank, seatbelt cutter, window breaker, light.
- Lighting modes : High, Low, Blink, SOS
- Max brightness : 300 lumen,
- Battery life : 120 minutes – bright mode, 200 minutess – strobe mode.
- Made from military grade aluminum.
What is in the box:
- Multi-function LED flashlight
- USB extension cable
- 2 signaling cones (orange, white)
- Direction booklet
The multi-function flashlight is made up of four units: LED head, battery body, end cap with USB socket, and charger. The build quality of the flashlight is excellent. The battery unit is sealed against dirt and moisture by rubber O-rings on both ends.
The charger fits into the standard car cigarette lighter to power up anything USB.
The end part of the charger is a hardened tungsten point for breaking a passenger door window should it be necessary. Integrated in the charger is also seat belt cutter. The clever design here is such that the blade is covered yet ready for use…and there is zero chance of anyone accidentally cutting themself on its edge. We like this “escape tool” implementation because it is where it will be available and within easy reach.
We are pretty excited with this find and will have a FirstUse report on the light, charger, and other features of this multi-function car tool in a future writeup.
