Reflection Frame 10″Ringlet: FirstLook
...smaller, sharper, and more affordable!!!
Reflection Frame recently released a smaller, sharper, and more affordable version of their ePaper photo frame. We recently got a few in-house, and will now take a closer look at them for RainyDayMagazine readers.
The new 10″ version, nicknamed the “Ringlet,” like its larger counterpart, can be hung on the wall, but is better sized for placement on a desk, table, or shelf.
10″ Ringlet Features:
- Cord-free ePaper display;
- Tap-to-Print technology;
- No subscription or cloud requirements;
- 2-year battery life between charges*

- Display: 10.0″ E Ink Spectra 6 display
- 1200×1600 resolution
- 5000mAh rechargeable battery, USB-C charging
Frame
The 10” Ringlet is available in two different frame options: Walnut wood and Black aluminum.
- Frame size: 262.6mm x 212mm x 25mm
- Frame weight: 800g
The quality of the fit and finish of both frames is extremely high. The walnut is super smooth, with tight joints, and a nice low-gloss finish. The metal frame has a solid, heavy feel with rounded corners for a modern look.
Unlike the 13″ frame, these 10″ frames do not have user-upgradeable mats.
Stand
The built-in stand can prop up the frame horizontally or vertically on a flat surface.
Metal loops and clips allow wall mounting in both orientations.
Note: Because E-Ink frames are designed to consume zero power while displaying an image, they do not have a live internal gravity sensor to rotate an existing image on the fly.
FirstThoughts
We like the lower price, smaller size, and greater placement options of the Ringlet.
In our InTheWild post of the 13″ Reflection Frame, we talked about the importance of ambient light for ePaper displays. In the coming FirstUse post, we’ll show how placement (shelf, table, etc.) can affect the Ringlet’s performance.
Also, we are eager to see if we can tell the difference between the higher resolution and larger color palette of the 10″ vs. the 13″ frame.
Look for it before the end of Fall.
