Joe Average : Jigsaw Puzzle Art FirstLook
...more than a puzzle!
Jigsaw puzzles are fun, diverting, and oh so relaxing.
When the purchase of those same puzzles also support extremely worthy causes, we call that a win-win!
Joe Average
Brock David Tebbutt, better known as Joe Average, is a Canadian artist celebrated for his bright, colorful, and stylized take on people, animals, flowers, and insects.
ONE WORLD ONE HOPE
“We are truly excited by this generous offer by Joe Average to use partial proceeds of the ONE WORLD ONE HOPE puzzle to help fund our organization,” says PAL Vancouver president Mike Klassen. “It makes us proud to see the puzzle container emblazoned with our logo and knowing that each sale of the puzzle going forward will support our mission to create affordable housing for B.C.’s artists and entertainers.”
The image used for the puzzle was commissioned and designed for the 11th international conference on AIDS.
“What I wanted to express in this image with the stained-glass feeling is that we are all fragile in the face of AIDS but working together with love (the heart in the center) is what we need to do,” says Average.
“It fills my heart to think this artwork can serve another great cause by supporting the actors, singers, dancers, painters, sculptors and musicians at PAL Vancouver and allowing them to live there affordably.”
FirstLook
Everything came packaged inside the can:
- Box w/ accessories
- 1000 quality puzzle pieces
Inside the box was a glue stick, some velcro pieces, and some printed info. When this puzzle is complete, the enclosed glue stick will keep the pieces together so the completed work may be hung on the wall. What an incredibly fantastic idea!
The bright and colorful 1000 pieces are made with premium-quality materials and when assembled will measure 25″ x 25.” We like that we will be able to display the puzzle once it has been completed. We cannot wait!!!
The expected amount of time to complete the puzzle is between 6 and 10 hours, but it is likely the actual elapsed time will be more in terms of weeks…
