Graphene-X Polo-X: FirstLook
An awesome combo of classic looks and futuristic material!
We have been a fan of Graphene-X products ever since we pulled one of their Layer-X tee shirts over our head. The material is comfortable to wear in a wide range of temperatures and conditions, snag resistant, and very easy to care for.
While we still love the similar shirts in merino wool, they have not fared as well in durability compared to the Graphene-X gear.
Polo-X
Polo shirts are one of our favorite go-tos when we want to be casual without being too casual. It has become a staple in our work rotation now that “corporate wear” has relaxed at the workplace.
So when Graphene-X told us that they will be making a polo shirt with their high-tech graphene-infused fabric, our first thought was: “genius!!!”
We got our hands on the Graphene-X Polo in August, and have been wearing it on and off for the past few months. Like their Layer-X line, the Polo-X shirt is:
- is laser-cut for a precise fit,
- has seams that are welded (not stitched), and
- made with material that is soft, stretchy, and silky smooth on the skin.
We are NOT exaggerating when we say “there is nothing else like it!”
Having packed the Polo-X on a few trips, we can confirm that this shirt has enabled us to pack less but with more versatility. Check out the attention to details.
The Polo-X is more wrinkle and odor-resistant than the typical cotton version. We can wear the same one for a few days without becoming “the smelly guy.” It is dressy enough to be worn under a jacket for a business-casual meetings, sharp enough to hold its own on a date-nite outing afterwards, and casual enough to paired with jeans for the next morning’s breakfast at the bistro.
FirstThoughts on the Graphene-X polo shirt:
- Super comfortable…tight fit, but that could just be our COVID-bod, LOL.
- Wrinkle resistant…just roll it up and put it in the pack.
- Order a larger size than normal for a more relax fit…but that’s just us.
- AWESOME when paired with a jacket…level up w/o having to suit up.
LastThought:
Seriously, we could very easily replace a closet full of clothes with a few Layer-Xs and a half-dozen Polo-Xs. They would last longer, save us a lot of shopping, reduce waste, and all the while keeping us super comfortable. There is really no downside here; are we right or are we right?
What we would love to see is a long sleeve version of this Graphene-X Polo in the lineup…hint, hint 🙂
