The sandal's fit was great...no seams rubbing the foot anywhere.  The material felt soft, yet not "squishy"...a feeling I hate, especially when the sandals get wet.  The buckles are easy to adjust and they STAY adjusted.  They are super light but still gives good lateral support.

In retrospect, I guess I shouldn't have been too shocked that Sperry made a great performance sandal.  They ARE the "boat shoe" people... so they should know their way around building superior gear for wet conditions!  I'll do a report on how they perform in country...but for now, go check 'em out yourself if you are in the market for a new pair.

I have been wearing the same pair of Nike ACG sandals for the last 7 years.  However, they are showing their age. 

Now, I demand a LOT from my sandals...great fit, great wet/dry performance, light weight, long wear, good styling, low key coloring, and a reasonable price.

Today, I went looking for a replacement and I was amazed at the selection.  Suffice to say I drove a few clerks crazy when I went from store to store sampling them all! 

It was a good thing I did, because the result was a surprise find from Sperry Top-sider that came out on top in my insane comparison shopping trip!
