One of our editors is a Quincy girl, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2009\/Home\/August\/Week2\/RDMHomeAug1309.htm#Quincy_WollastonBeach\">last summer<\/a>\u00a0she introduced us to Wollaston Beach and the amazing food available at this restauant favored by the locals.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/SignBig.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/Sign.jpg?resize=620%2C412\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"412\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">When we realized on Monday that The Clam Box had opened, we packed everyone up and went for lunch. We were not disappointed. The crowd was\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/CounterBig.jpg\">a lot lighter<\/a>\u00a0than in the Summer, but the food was every bit as tasty as we had remembered.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/CounterSpecials.jpg?resize=620%2C206\" alt=\"\" usemap=\"#Map602\" width=\"620\" height=\"206\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/FoodBig.jpg\">Seafood Platter Special<\/a>\u00a0(large plate of clams, shrimps, scallops, and calamari) is a great value, more than enough for two and perfect for sharing (if you had to). Fortunately, half of the crew are vegetarians. While the Clam Box is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/SpecialsBig.jpg\">famous for<\/a>\u00a0their freshly fried clams, their fried onion rings are awesome and is our Quincy girl&#8217;s favorite (who, by the way, does not really share).<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/FoodBig.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/Food.jpg?resize=620%2C431\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"431\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">On the other side of the road from The Clam Box is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/SidewalkBig.jpg\">Wollaston Beach<\/a>. The beach is quiet this time of the year. The sidewalk runs for three-and-a-half miles and has\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rainydaymagazine.com\/RDM2010\/RainyDayDestinations\/ClamBox\/BeachBig.jpg\">a nice view<\/a>\u00a0of the city of Boston.
