Happy New Year!!! Hard to believe that it has been over a decade since we started this little RainyDayMagazine adventure!
We have grown quite a bit both in terms of scope and readership. The site has been creaking and groaning for a while now and is in need of some work 🙂
Welcome to the new look of RainyDayMagazine. This is our first post under our new hosting service at A Small Orange. They have been awesome in helping us in the transition. All of our questions, no matter how simple, bizarre, or complicated, were promptly and courteously answered.
The main reason for the undertaking was we were spending way too much time on the backend yet didn’t have much to show for it. The site had grown too unwieldy. We didn’t have support for the wide varieties of screen sizes, things were loading too slowly, and we were running everything on top of a clunky framework that was a decade old. The interns just wouldn’t take it any more!!!
Over the course of 2015, we will be making quite a few changes to the structure and look of RainyDayMagazine so we can continue to bring you the kind of articles that have made the magazine so successful!
We are looking forward to the changes and we are sure readers will too. Here is to an AWESOME 2015 and Go Pats!!!
